corey belmont de sauvettere is a figurehead in music, fashion, and various forms of the arts. he has been featured in various works world-wide, though majority of his work is in the musical arts. he was born in lyon, france. due to familial decisions, corey wasraised in both paris and manchester, england.
the first of corey's musical experiments is intimate relations, a two year long project which began in 1975. it is named after a play written by jean cocteau, someone who corey has cited as being a large inspiriation.
the second project would be called pierrot le fou. it lasted for only a year, beginning as intimate relations would end. as opposed to the previous english project, this was mainly consistent of the french language.
next, we would have venus at her..., another two year long project. though music was involved, it was admitted that this project was more based in art, specifically the story of venus and tannhauser by audrey beardsley.
lastly, we come to the gardenias. this was one of corey's more famous works, though collaborative with its members. the gardenias consisted of corey (lead vocalist), wolfgang elshire (bassist), brothers miles eklund (guitarist) and edgar eklund (drummer), and finally, lora bell (keyboardist).
while they don't currently work together in any musical or artistic projects, adalwine müller, close friend and affiliate, is frequently cited as being one of the largest influences in corey's life, in and out of artistic creation. we love them both and suggest you look more into, not only corey, but adalwine outside of this webpage. much love! xoxo
